Baked Whole-wheat Pita Chips
Serve these crispy, spicy chips with Cannellini Bean and Sun-dried Tomato Dip, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, or Baba Ghanoush.
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon ground sumac
- 1/2 teaspoon powdered dried thyme
- 4 round whole-wheat pita bread
Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix together olive oil, sesame seeds, sumac, and thyme. Brush oil mixture on the pitas. Bake for 5 minutes on each side. With a large knife, cut each pita into 8 pieces.
